I didn't know if I would do it. But the 2011 Crazy January Challenge is finished! This was my final project-Praiseworthy Stitches Tiny Pumpkin Etui. These are the completed items--
Here are my unfinished but stitched pieces--
The bottom left is the scissor fob. The fabric to the left of it is for the pincushion stem.
The bottom right is the needlebook. I changed the background color on the right pumpkin side to DMC 712 (ecru) on every other square. The black was just too dark for me. And I used the dark green background thread on the left side the same way (every other square).
The top fabric and pieces are for a pumpkin pincushion. The green across the top is the fabric for the needlebook lining. Don't know when I'll get to the "finish-finishing."
I feel like I am free for the rest of the year to stitch on any project I want to! Hurray for freedom!
What about the 2012 Crazy January Challenge? I learned a lot about what I can reasonably accomplish in the course of one year. And I know that there are 2 or 3 larger needlepoint pieces that I want to complete in 2012.
I'm working on a list :)
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know I finished much more than I would have by doing the challenge, but I still haven't decided about next year. I look forward to seeing your list!!
ReplyDeleteTerrific! Isn't it a great feeling when they are all stitched? Unlike Tricia, I decided not to do it again...instead as I posted. I have plenty to keep me busy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a great accomplishment. I wish that I could be so focused. I think this last finish is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the Challenge! I know that I will not finish ALL of the items on my list. Several of them are on the larger side. I will transfer those to the 2012 Challenge!
ReplyDeleteNow you can enjoy stitching anything....have fun!
Kudos Teresa! That is beautiful and can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to share a pic of all of your finishes. That is a great accomplishment. Can't wait to see what you pick for next year!
happy stitching...
A big congrats on finishing all your challenge pieces.

ReplyDeleteThree cheers on finishing the Crazy Challenge! I was able to complete 12 pieces; kudos to you for completing all 15. Wowzers!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is great: all the 15 projects finished. Congratulations! I won't be able to finish all of them by the end of the year but this won't hinder me to join the 2012 Challenge. It's a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Congratulations on finishing all 15! Have you joined the Yahoo group for the CJC 2012?
