Stitchy Update & A Mystery

I have finished the pre-work for Betsy Morgan's Helix Etui class. Well, except for my initials on the right end.  There was no graph for the letters included.  The class will be in May in Spokane.   Looking forward to it!

I did a little shopping. One thing I bought was at Country Stitches.  It is the Ann Sandles floss keep. Very tickled with it.

Another thing I bought is Home Sweet Home by Carolyn Pearce.  It is a book about a gorgeous embroidered workbox in the shape of a house! Mary Corbet did a pictorial and informative review of the book hereMaybe a SAL for 2013 & 2014 ?? LOL

I am working on the Amy Mitten Quaker Winder's Keeper.  I started with the Vierland Winder's Keeper, but just did not like the fabric/thread combination when I got it. Amy was very kind and allowed me to switch to this one.  Behind on the stitching but enjoying the journey :)

One more thing, DD#1 has a mystery. She found a picture of a pattern that she thinks is a freebie.  But she is unable to locate it.  Can anyone help her out?

  3. Beautiful work. Love the colors for Betsy Morgan's class. Don't feel so bad about being behind on the Thread Winder project...I choose the Friesland and I have not started at all on it.

  8. Enjoy your Betsy class! And isn't wonderful knowing you've got your prework done so far ahead?

I feel so fortunate being in two guilds with Betsy. She is always working on something new and exciting and we usually get first glimpses of these projects.

That freebie looks familiar, but I can't quite place it. I hope someone else does!

  11. The colours of your etui are lovely! That floss keep is so cute. I'd love to get myself one too one of these days ^.^

Oh, I've seen that book mentioned somewhere. It's a gorgeous project indeed. Definitely be following your progress slowly on this when you start.

Pretty WiP. Sorry I can't help with the freebie.

    Hugs,
    Veronica.

  12. The freebie is "Sapin 2009" from Chez Elisa. The post at http://chezelisa.over-blog.com/article-2009-sapin-38944625.html indicates that the chart is available by request from the blog owner. There is a link to an album with a variety of color combinations and finishes in the left sidebar which includes the image your daughter found.

Warning - the site is verrrrrrrry slow because of a snowfall widget.
