Adam & Eve Sampler
32 ct mystery linen
Vikki Clayton's HDF silks
My happy dance has officially begun! My second finish for 2011 and neither one has been from the January Challenge! Oh, well, I still have 11 more months :) Please click on the picture for a close-up.
You might notice that I removed the 1845 date on the top and changed it to 2011. The date was hard to read and needed to be frogged and restitched anyhow. My initials are on either side of the tree in peach thread. I also made the executive decision to leave off nipples-really do we need to see those to enjoy a sampler? Belly buttons, yes-nipples, no.
Oh! The sample looks fabulous,
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!
The more I see this one the more I want to do it.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm now to find the pattern, material and threads.
Woo Hoo! Congratulations on a wonderful finish. I think this has to be one of my favorite samplers. I changed the date on mine, but I did put the nipples in which I went back and forth about. I figured my kids would laugh every time they saw them, but they're so light, you can barely tell they're there. Congratulations !!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, that is soooo beautiful. Have added it to my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree, belly buttons YAY...nipples NAY!
beautiful finish! even w/out the nipples!lol
ReplyDeleteAnd dance you should! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching, and what a funny post! Glad you came to the right decisions for yourself. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish!
ReplyDeleteJust a thought, but would Adam and Eve have had belly buttons?
What can I say? It's just perfect! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and good decision!
