Updates, new SAL & Last Day for Giveaway!

Here is the latest on SB Anna's Stocking.

Here is the latest on Just Nan-the humbug (on bottom left) is finished except for beads. The tin top is probably 50% finished (top left). Also, Sheepish Designs Temptation is coming along.

[Edited] Don't forget that tomorow is the last day to enter my giveaway! The winner will be chosen on Friday.

Last, but not least, I decided not to join in on the ANG Stitch of the Month SAL for 2011. I might live to regret it but instead I have joined a different SAL-it is an adorable Jardin Prive 3-part pattern and will actually begin on March 15th. The SAL is being hosted here if you are interested in taking a look. The patterns are purchased on the Jardin Prive website.

Today, Feb 21st, is the one year anniversary of starting my blog. It has been much more fun than I could have imagined. AND the people I have met thru this blog have greatly enriched my life! Who would have ever thought that I would reach 176 followers!
So, without further ado, here is my giveaway to celebrate!

BUT, that's not all--

Also included in the giveaway are two kitted projects-Shepherd Bush's Flag (all the threads and instructions are inside) and Threads Through Time Blue Star Sampler (40 ct gauze project with everything included except frame).

This giveaway is very simple to enter-

A New Start

Crab-apple Hill
#812 Embroidery Envelope
Pastel wools
DMC floss

Do you remember my story about the quilt store where I walked in on a Make and Take class last month? Well, this is the 2nd Make and Take class that I attended last week.

Obviously I didn't get this one close to completed like I did the pincushion last month. There is still a lot of work to do, but it is fun embroidery, blanket stitch, etc. AND my first efforts with wool. Have a great weekend!

Another Crazy January Challenge Finish!

Little House Needleworks
The North Wind
32ct R & R Mt Vernon Mist
Called for Crescent Colour threads

I was determined to get this finished over the weekend, but the last few snowflakes still needed to be completed yesterday. Yeah! Another challenge piece finished.

I ripped out the first start on my WTNT Give Thanks. And it seems to be up next on my to-do list.

I have been watching the Nashville (and other) preview posts and have a list already-
Plum Street Samplers-The Flood
Blackbird Designs- A Stitcher's Journey
With My Needle-Miss Trenner's Needlework Academy
Examplar Dame-Remember Us
Shakespeare's Peddler-Anne Grant

Well, I had better stop-this list could go on some more!

Happy 6th Birthday Dear Grandson

Where does six years go? It seems like he was just born last year. That is his picture on my header. He was Easter egg-hunting when he was two. But here is the proof-Grandparent's day for his kindergarten class last week.

We love you dearly, Brandon!

Two Updates

Shepherd's Bush Anna's Stocking
18 ct natural linen
Called for Gast, WDW & DMC perle cotton

This project is moving right along and it is still fun to stitch on. It is also a good project to take to when I can't take my lighted magnifier.

Margaret Bendig's Plum Blossom Kimono
18ct light grey mono canvas
Elegance thread

This project outline is finished. Now I need to finish the interior outlines in a different shade of Elegance.

Did you see Andrea's finish of The North Wind? Wow!! It has inspired me to pick up mine and work on it as the next challenge project.

Another Crazy January Challenge Finish!

Blackbird Designs Spring Fling
30 ct R & R Iced Cappucino linen
Called for GAST threads

Woo hoo! Another finish for the 2011 challenge! I did make a couple of minor thread changes. One of the colors disappeared on this linen, so I substituted other colors already used in this design. I also made my initials Tea Rose instead of Avocado like the other letters.

Did you notice that the name of the design is on the lower right? I really like that-it is rare to see the name incorporated into the design. This one turned out much cuter than the picture on the pamphlet.

I have been making some progress on some larger projects AND yes, have another new start. More about these as the week progresses! Thanks so much for all your sweet comments-I do treasure them and they inspire me to keep stitching. Have a great week!

PS-If you are in to food storage like me, please check out the giveaway on Food Storage and Survival-click on the link in my sidebar.
