For those of you who have been following my blog for a while, you probably already know that I am no fan of Halloween stitching (basically because my birthday is on Halloween and I can do without the reminders :)
BUT......
I really LIKE this box and the design idea.  So what to do??
Ta Da...
A Blackbird Christmas box!  I pulled out my Joyeux Noel book and started getting some ideas of small designs.  For example, how do you like a border with a border?! I have finished 3 of the 10 small designs with ideas for the rest.
(OK- I see a mistake on the border that will have to be fixed.  That's what I get for designing myself)

More updates later this week...
Love seeing all your new year updates!

The Christmas Sampler is really pretty. I noticed your initials in the center. What a great idea for little motifs for your box without using Halloween designs. You certainly have a lot of new starts for the new year! Happy Stitching!

Love your choice of projects! And what a great idea to switch from Halloween to Christmas for your box. I'm excited to see how it turns out! :)

Borders! Some of us might want to send our border stitching your way! Sometimes they seem to go on forever and other times it is nice to find the repetitive rhythm in them. Nice starts for the new year.

I especially like the Stacy Nash design. And I know what you mean about borders, borders, borders. Also not a Halloween stitcher, generally.
